Are you excited about the result of FDS dance contest? We watched everyone' s video carefully(very very very many times^_^) and really appreciate your hard work (dance in the cold weather and tough condition). Right now we made the decision.

FDS online dance contest for Xmas:

Prizes:
- First place: Haixi Xia-Skin and Trouble Maker Steps and Anna Lee-SNSD dance cover(both get the first prize together)

-Second place: Carrie Xu and Ashley Su-The boys and Ready Go

-Most popular prize(most Youtube views): Sam and Stephanie Guzman-I m the best dance cover

All the winners will be invited to perform in FDS Annual Show in coming May 2012 in Shadbolt Dance Theater.

Hello, Everyone!
Christmas is just around the corner! As the time is getting close to the end of the year, Flying Dance Studio would like to appreciate the energy and fun you have brought to the studio this year. We would like to give out super big gifts to the participants and the winners of our Music video dance cover competition.

Schedule
- Registration period
: Nov 1st-Dec 15th 2011
- Announcement for the winners
: Dec 22nd 2011

Procedure
-choose any MV dance (kpop or any from other countries)
-record your dance video ( minimum 2 mins)
-add name FDS kpop contest or FDS MV dance contest for your video title
-upload on youtube
-send your link to INFO@FLYINGDANCESTUDIOS.CO M for registration

Qualification:
-everyone (no limit)
-can be solo or group dance

Prizes:
- First place: 100$ cash prize and 300$ class credits
-Second place: 10 classes credits and gifts
-Most popular prize(most Youtube views): 5 classes credits

and also we will give 10 participants' prize to appreciate hardworking contestants, so join us and you will get the Xmas gifts!

Judgment will be based on your overall dance ability, creativity and efforts.

FDS-FLYING DANCE STUDIO

Flying Dance Studios (FDS) emerged by Ying Ying Wang into the Vancouver dance scene in 2007 as
one of the few Chinese-run dance studios. Headed by award-winning choreographers, the studio provides classes for new and old school hip hop, street jazz and Asian music video styles

Through the reputation that FDS choreographers earned, they have been invited to be backup dances for internationally famous artists as well as choreograph entire dance sets. Artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan that FDS have worked with include, Sammul Chan,Ada Choi and Christopher Wong, Will Liu etc. Flying Dance Studio choreographers were also the backup dances for G.NA (Gina Choi) during her debut international showcase in North America for Cube Entertainment’s 2011 Global Auditions in Vancouver.

FDS choreographers and students have been actively performing at various local shows, concerts, and competitions; winning first place in several. They have also been featured in various TV shows, magazines and newspapers.

FDS’ vision is not only to promote dance across Vancouver, but also to introduce Asian music and choreography to Vancouver. Asian Music Video dance classes at FDS have been widely received and students from all backgrounds have showed immense interest in this new style.

World Vision Canada presents Canada’s first-ever Broadway style Asian Charity Musical Drama “Chasing Love”. “Chasing Love” a grand production with a full around cast, dancers, breath-taking scenic backdrops and beautiful, exquisite costumes. The drama foretells about a complicated love story of 8 individuals who are each searching for love and happiness, all but having to have endured lost. 8 distinctive characters played by Hong Kong’s top, most sought out artists. A captivating story full of warmth, mystery, sacrifice, lost, joy and tears.

This is also a combination of five stories of humour and romance, touch the soul musical drama. The story is about a "Mr. Happiness" who opens a specialty store: Happiness Specialty Shop in a small town of Feli City. Everybody comes to this store to search for happiness. Mr. Happiness helps many people to open their heart to have their dream comes true. But, Mr. Happiness who is able to help others, could not help himself in his search for happiness? No matter what kind of "happiness" one is chasing, isn't it so that one need to take effort to grasp happiness and be contented?

SUN & Master Keys are going to MONTREAL!!

Sun with Master Keys are going to be attending one of the biggest competition in Canada, Bust a Move in Montreal. He'll be away for about a week thus his sat. class will be cancelled on

May 9th from 5:30-7:00pm

Don't get discouraged!! Sun will be back and be teaching a special class at the Scotia Dance Centre! Please see below for details.
